Add New Page, It Says

As I open the Soulful Growing ‘Posts’ page to enter my first Blog, what stares at me from the top of the page is “Add New Page.”

Not having come with any preconceived notion about what this first post is going to be about, I thought it is a welcome idea to write about adding a new page. I wrote the title of of this post at 11.59 pm – just a minute before the start of October 29, 2011.

Here I am, starting a new page.

For the past several years, I have been writing on the same page filled with unintelligible scribblings – of sorrows, failures and pain.

Why didn’t I go to the next page?

Perhaps I was not sure what I was going to write there. So, I preferred the security of the same old page.

Or may be, the sojourn on the old page was not a bad thing after all. It taught me about – pain, suffering, love, frustrations, living, dying, dreams, not giving up and so many other things – than at any other time of my life.

So, my entries into my new page has a context of understanding, a new perspective and greater depth.

At 59, it helps to have some perspective and depth. Now that I have just completed my apprenticeship at a fairly ripe age, experimenting with the same story line and plot,  it is time to move on. Because the new page is waiting to be written on.

And, as I think about the prospect of adding a new page, I feel excited. To unfold a new story every day and move on to the next one, then to the new one.
